Origin:

India and Southern China: Sri Lanka and India, over the Himalayas to China and Southeast Asia, including Malaysia. A few varieties are also found on Sumatra, Java and Borneo. About 150 varieties are known.

Easy-care, exotic house plant

In the middle of February until the middle of October

Location:

Partial shade, preferably with damp air. Very tolerant of low temperatures

Care:

Chirita does not need a rest period; it flowers even in darker seasons.
